Capturing Row Counts using Profiler

It's a small option, one not often noticed, but you can use it find the queries that are returning a LOT of rows. Maybe they need to return a lot, but maybe they don't! It's an interesting way to look at a system in a different way than reads and duration, trying to find the places where more work is being done than needs to be done. While we're doing this we show you how to use Profiler, the essential tool for the DBA.

The last few weeks the videos have not been playing correctly. Either they do not load and play; or they play and break up a number of times. This particular lesson will not load and play... I will try again later...
