short and sweet. I didn't know this feature existed. some info on the impact of scripting data for large tables would have been useful.

stops after 30 seconds

didn't know of this feature before

Thanks, it is useful BUT when you try to move a table with large number of records, you would face another problem "Out of memory space", how can we deal with this??

I like all your short videos

I also didn't know of this feature before. Nice!

I would be wary of scripting tables with millions of rows.

Showing the defaults of a wizard isn't helpful to most SQL Server DBAs. Why not take 2 minutes to show something special about scripting data? Very poor video for this excellent site.

short, but it told me something I did not know - that it was possible to script data inserts

Mark Sopczak on 12/24/2009
Cool. Can't wait to try it. THanks!

Tell me something I don't already know. Many shops won't let the developers script data. That feature is turned off for security reasons. However, scripting data from a table using a stored proc would be interesting.

Learned: option script-date is new in 2008

"Hopefully this feature is useful to you..." It would have been great if you would have shown how it *might* be useful. As it is, I have no idea. Did the script create dummy data? What did it look like? Going into a little detail about these things would have garnered you a higher rating.

I didn't know you could do that so very helpful. Guess this is a function of SSMS, so should work when connected to earlier databases.

pavankumar on 12/25/2009
it is use full for me thank u very much for every one

Lloyd Edwards on 12/25/2009
none

This feature should come with a big warning which the speaker did not mention. DO NOT USE THIS FEATURE TO SCRIPT OUT LARGE TABLES! YOU COULD FILL UP YOUR TRANSACTION LOG! Use BCP instead...Always remember in SQL Server folks, don't just use a feature because it is there. Use your head first. :)

Marc Moshman on 12/26/2009
very useful - an easy way to sync up a single table from one instance to another instance via a script.

These tips are great! Many of us don't always have the luxury of researching or spending days in a training class. Please keep these tips coming.

Steve Harris on 12/28/2009
maybe explain some of the other things that can be scripted, what are the defaults and where they are located in the output script

Jason Schaitel on 12/30/2009
that is handy. You can script out lookup tables and back them up in VSS.

Great to learn about these new little features you might not stumble on by yourself.

Super...did not know that...interesting..
