Introduction to Plan Caching and SysCacheObjects
Plan caching is one of the things you don't think about when you're first learning SQL Server, it just works in the background and does good stuff. But eventually as you move deeper into trying to get the most performance from your server you need to understand when and how caching works at a high level. SysCacheObjects is our view into what is being cached, and from there we can look for opportunities to improve things. Learn the basics and then try it on your server at work.
