Using Backup Compression in SQL Server

Backup compression may not sound exciting, but it easily reduce the space you need for backups by 50% or more. It's easy to use, effective, but not without a cost of its own in licensing.

Some of your videos are difficult to hear while others are excellent. Not sure why, but some just come in louder than others. Great stuff though guys, keep up the great work.

Would have been nice if you mentioned if there's anything special about restoring a compressed backup.

SQL 2008 R2 supports compression in the standard edition as well....
