Would be nice to see some usage examples, once you have the certificate created (perhaps a follow-up topic). Also, some of the options when creating the certificate could use more explanation, (pwd protect vs. master db key), expiry date considerations, etc.

It woudl be nice to know what to start with,certificate first ten master key then symmetric key or is it master key first then symmetric key then certificate?

i just want to know, Sql server certificate can be associate or authenticate with out side application like Dotnet, java etc. but how?
