It would have been nice to see a couple of different examples of formatting using the IIF statement such as setting the font to bold for movies under a certain genre while performing the color changes for other rules.

ML Stephens on 2/16/2009
great just a little step to make things jump out

Ed Greenawald on 2/16/2009
Use Switch statement instead of nested iif. Easier to read. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa261864.aspx

This is a neat formatting, but it would be nice to have an example our of business context not family context.

Tom Hamilton on 7/18/2011
Nice and simple. I also use code functions for this kind of thing

Kerem on 7/18/2011

Should have spent more time discussing the Expression Builder and how to build/create vb expressions. A lot of use are c# devs and the world of vb is a bit foreign. Since we have to use vb for ssrs expressions, it would have been better to describe that instead.

Stephanie Brown on 7/19/2011
very straightforward example of a most helpful option. We already use this on some of our management report, and it works wonders!

Tony Knowling on 7/19/2011

IIF clause was not properly explained, it would be good if explained iif clause and then proceed, it will take only 20 sec i guess...!!!!!!!!

Steven Lindquist on 8/3/2011
Amazing how easy things are once you know how to do it.
