What is the difference between a Windows Login and Group Login?

Could you please tell me why you could not simply remove the CONNECT SERVER permission (i.e. a REVOKE not a DENY) for the Windows Group login? This would avoid the problem of Deny trumping any other Grant for a Windows user that is a member of another group having a SQL Windows login. DrDianaDee@verizon.net -- Thanks!
