Introduction to Statistics

Statistics are used by SQL Server to try to make better decisions about query plans. Typically we want auto create and auto update statistics options on, and in this video we'll talk briefly about why and show you where to find the settings.

I liked it and was very simple and easy to understand. I am looking for more information as in what scenarios you should create statistics manually and when it should be automated esp in a data warehouse where data is humangous Also it would be nice to see use of statistics in execution plans etc.. Thanks
