I wish MSFT would standardize across all products. They are getting there.

Focused purpose, good presentation

Stephanie Brown on 9/10/2009
It was nice to hear how the formatting codes relate to what is occurring - like C2 being currency with 2 decimal places.

Pehle on 9/10/2009
Very helpful video. Keep up the good work...

It would be nice if the presenter gave a location (URL) of the format codes. But really nice presentation

rob alford on 9/10/2009
must have missed which version of ssrs it is, look like 2008, unfortunately i work with 2005 still. i'll have to see if these tricks work in 2005.

Basic information, but interesting for beginners.

Brett Phipps on 9/11/2009
This is ok, but what I'd really like is a list of these codes.

Jonathan on 9/14/2009
Is there a reference list of all the format codes that can be used?

bhoopal on 9/15/2009
It's good.

Excellent video! Also would love to see steps on custom formatting, e.g. 0,##, etc. Such that to format a concatenated sequence of numbers into a phone number format, e.g. (123) 555-1234, or convert "lname, fname" into "Lname, Fname", etc. Thanks

Good information however I would like to be able to set up the training scenerio and follow through the steps here. This video did not make this possible - hence only 3 stars.

Simple and yet very effective. Great stuff.

Rene on 1/23/2012
The explanation is very clear. What I miss is the version number of SSRS from which this is applicable: rhere are still customers using 2005.

John O'Sullivan on 1/23/2012
a tad basic

Eric on 1/27/2012
That is a wrong assumption to make that "there is no such thing as half an item". You are assuming everyone orders in eaches. What about half a pound? Or half a ton? Many businesses order in something other than eaches and reporting services has been not so friendly in this area.

Adi on 1/29/2012
good !

Sravan Kumar on 3/31/2012
