not including 50% about profiler

Mark Horninger on 11/5/2008
Pretty basic stuff, but nicely done!

Dan Feiling on 11/5/2008
to basic 101 if someone doesnt know how to do what is in the video, they have no business having access required to do so.

Jeff Lovett on 11/5/2008
how about a few advanced options - things like stopping the trace at a preset date and time so that it does not fill the drive that is storing the trace file.

A482609282, Thanks for the comment. This is one video of a series that covers most of profiler. To cover all of profiler in the 2-4 minutes that videos on this site are planned for is not possible which is why there is a series.

Dan, Thanks for the comment. Again this is a 100 level video for those who are new to SQL Server. If you can't find a video here that helps you use the Suggest a Video link on the top and someone will try to get the video done that you need.

Jack Corbett on 11/6/2008
Jeff, Thanks for watching. If you check out the "Explaining the properties window in SQL Server Profiler" video in the series, I do discuss setting a trace stop time. If that does not meet your need please you the Suggest a Video link and someone will try to meet your need.

Would like another video to be more in depth but this one was great to get started using the profiler.

Prasanna Prabhu on 11/28/2008
If video seen in full-screen mode, the video was blur and it was hurting my eyes. In normal (Web-page) mode, I could barely see anything b'cos the font size was small

Bharathi on 2/11/2009
It would be excelent, if u had posted the script. This is a request. Thanks,

Venkata Taduri on 2/24/2009
Good. Very basic.

Tonci on 9/21/2009
Great!

Ravi on 4/26/2010
nice

Thanks for the comments. Cindy, If you could post a suggestion using the SUggest a Video link with a specific request I could probably get something posted for you. Bharathi, There really wasn't any script to post. Unless you mean the activity generating scripts, but those were really simple selects in loops.

Short and concise.

Rod on 4/20/2011
Great information here! I didn't know you could do these things, with SQL Profiler.

Vamsi on 4/20/2011
good

Leonard Peoples on 4/20/2011
Helpful. Thanks.

Vinh Do on 4/20/2011
The volume is way to low. I had to crank up my pc's volume all the way up.

Dean Gross on 4/21/2011
would have been better if there was some discussion about why we should use the various options for saving. Describing the pros/cons for each option is always helpful.

Steve Harris on 4/26/2011
Would you select specific events? What events would be good in certain situations?

charles Russell on 5/3/2011
kind of blurry, hard to see text

James Brown on 5/3/2011
Would have been more useful if it contained introductory material on what a trace is and why one would want to use it, or refer to previous video if this has already been covered.

Robert Johnson on 5/4/2011
Audio was barely audible for this video.

ravi on 5/11/2011
good one

Russell Todd on 5/15/2011
templates are not explained

Maurice Ivory on 10/14/2011
Very good information.
