too much jumping from intermediate level to basic level.
Brian should stat creating a new project, and then start from there to the execution of a simple task to show users. He did not run the task, that would have been very academic

Good intro. As a DBA, I had to put together an SSIS project (package(s)) without any training to move databases from Sybase to SQL Server. A developer provided a couple of snippets of code for the datetime conversion and cleaning a couple of other columns. It would have been much quicker (and probably more fun) if I had know what I was doing. I did get it done, and was amazed to see how quickly my data loads happened. I'm looking forward to learn how I can do the next one better. Thanks.

Thanks - very good introduction. I would move the description of creating a new package/project to the beginning but maybe it's just a personal preference. Also, for SSIS beginners like me, it will help if the suggested videos at the bottom of this survey were rated by level (beginner, intermediate, etc.)
