Hard to get through the accent

This will save valuable time during data migration.

Something new today.

Good example. A bit difficult to understand the presenter at times.

I think it would be better if the presenter had his queries already written and then merely explained them with highlighting tools.

Very easy-to-follow example, clearly explained. Thanks!

Too simple of an example, though it does show the power of the univot command.

Excellent demo using UNPIVOT

This is neat. I could have used this last week. The video was very clear--easy to read and understand.

Very nice explaination of unpivot. Thank You.

Pretty basic , it would be nice to add some kind of advanced trick or technique for those more skilled in sql

Would have liked to have seen how to apply the case statement to output a numeric value instead of the column name in the Unpivot.

|

Very interesting. I would just add that for someone new to SQL it's always nice to see a BEFORE and AFTER shot of the data so it's CLEAR what it is you've accomplished. Thanks Bro!

AWESOME!

It would be nice to know if the sales_quarter could be dynamic. For examle, you had customer names instead of quarters, the number of values could change.
I was not familar with the unpivot function. I will do some research on the dynamic unpivot.
Thank you very much.

I didn't know where it was going until right at the end. Maybe it would have been useful to run the UNPIVOT statement right at the beginning to show what was going to be done, and then explain the statement after that. Anyway - very interesting, thanks.

@Steven Lindquist - You can have a dynamic number of columns, however it requires writing dynamic sql. You can build the list of comma separated columns into a variable from a select statement. Then incorporate that variable with the dynamic sql.

The content was excellent. However, I do find foreign accented English to be more difficult to follow.

Although I think the content was good I had extreme difficulty in understanding the words at crucial points in the presentation.
