Why will people stop being lazy and document their code!?!

Great video...sorry for the double post.

Nice, basic information that should be used more than it is

Jay Trombly on 3/12/2009
The audio was too low.

IHMO, it is not very good practice to have default values mixed with mandatory parameters. I would move optional parameters to the end of the list.

Stephen Anslow on 3/19/2009
If I ever knew about the "DEFAULT" keyword, I'd completely forgotten about it - thanks for the reminder!

Nice video basic video. I have seen these issues way too often. On a side note, when I heard "his name is my name too" I almost snarfed coffee all over the keyboard. Not sure how many caught the reference but nicely done

good video quality... I'm interrested in which tools were used to produc it.

Andy Warren on 10/21/2009
Stefe, we use Camtasia - great tool. If you're on a budget, look at Camstudio, it's freeware

It is ultimately harmful to prefix a SQL object hame with its object type. "name_comma" is better than "udf_name_comma" as a function name.

Info we ALL need to be reminded of! Like his style of presentation...not hurried, somewhat casual, laid back...nice!

Forwarded this one to developers!

good stuff, thanks! i like it's pointed out WHY it's important to name the function certain way - easier to find.

documentation, an unusual thing? Really? ;)

Tahir A. Syed on 8/2/2011
Great suggestions...

A good laugh at the end.

Thanks Andy, another good video with helpful insights.

I like the way the comments are documented within the UDF.

Could barely hear the presenter, audio was poor.

Volume was way too low

Jonathan on 8/26/2011
Really good advice but not wholly restricted to functions. I would say the video title is not supporting the essence of the message in the video.

George Heinrich on 8/29/2011
Loved it!! Informative and funny.

I must say I enjoyed this video
